Weekly Post #7 – Making a Movie in Japanese Class

Hey guys, it’s me hmsshayann here,

I’m so excited for the movie that I will be making with classmates in Japanese class. It’s about a mysterious killer on the loose and she is one that we will never guess. It’s so much fun because the class got to decide how the movie/story was going to start and end.

I was super excited because we get to talk in Japanese. It might take a little while to speak in fluent Japanese even though we take that class. I think it would be fun because we are speaking in Japanese and we get to act out our character.

It is interesting because there is a killer on the loose and is closer than we think. I think people who will watch it might think it is funny because there silly twists that happen during the story. There is even a dog in this story. But don’t worry, it is just a regular boy acting like a dog. Can’t wait until we get to finish the movie!

Do you think the bad guy will get away or get caught?

Until then, bye!

Weekly Post #6 – Quarter Games 😀

Hey guys, it’s me hmsshayann,

Today I will be talking about what is going on at that is very exciting. It’s called the Quarter Games! It will last for 2 weeks starting from January 22 – February 2.  There is an assortment of colored milk jugs that are labeled with each grade level/ faculty and staff members. it goes from Preschool – 8th grade/Faculty and Staff. So you could put in a quarter and that would equal +25 points, while a penny would equal -1 point. Same thing for the nickel -5, dime -10, and $1 would be -100 points. You can put in 5, 10, 20 dollar bills too.

All of the donations will go to Make-A-Wish Foundation. It is a special place where kids who have disabilities can have their wishes come true. I think it is very sad, but Make-A-Wish helps make those who have wonderful dreams/wishes come true. So this donation from the Quarter Games will help those kids make the wish come true. It would put an amazing smile on their faces to get their wish come true.

This past year, we have choice electives and I got buddy class and community service group. We each have different choice electives while there is more than one person who can have the same choice elective. My classmates and I got the chance to go to Make-A-Wish in Downtown, it was amazing! I was so grateful to have the opportunity to go there. All of the workers there were so nice and amazing. We even got to sit in comfy chairs in a meeting room. It was an amazing experience and I will never forget about it.

Which grade level do you think will win?

Thank you,

hmsshayann

My 2018 New Year’s Resolution!

Hey, it’s me hmsshayann,

Happy 2018 everyone! 2017 went by so fast. So resolutions for me are hard to keep, how about you guys? Is it easy to keep your resolutions? Anyways, I will be talking about the steps that will help me reach my resolution.

My resolution is to get better grades in all classes (mainly in math).

These are my steps to keep me on track to reach my resolution.

  1. After I get the work and I do it with some help and I still don’t get it, I will ask questions and get help from the teacher.https://media.defense.gov/2017/Apr/05/2001727086/780/780/0/170130-Z-ZA470-033.JPG
  2. I should take a math class on the weekends so I can get even more help/practice.https://media.defense.gov/2008/Nov/21/2000659994/780/780/0/081105-F-1426K-028.JPG
  3. I’ll study every day once I know when the test/quiz will be on. That way I’ll be prepared for the day of the test/quiz.
